In honor of Red Ribbon Week, held annually from October 23-31 and recognized as the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program, the Indian Valley Family YMCA, Indian Crest Middle School, and Indian Valley Middle School students came together for a special community initiative. They planted red tulip bulbs to celebrate the week’s message and reinforce the commitment to living drug-free.
These tulips, which will bloom in the spring, symbolize our collective commitment to inspiring youth to lead happy, healthy, and drug-free lives. The event also featured the “Plant the Promise” initiative, where students pledged to live a drug-free life, reinforcing the importance of making positive choices.
We eagerly look forward to seeing these red tulips bloom as a vibrant reminder of the promise our youth have made to themselves and to their community.
